What is Worm Farming
Composting worms are used for recycling your biodegradable waste into a high quality organic compost/fertilizer. It can also be used as an organic pest repellent when diluted and sprayed onto the foliage. The plants will also absorb the nutrients with this process.
Worms produce what is commonly called worm tea and castings.
The bottom bin that has a tap collect a mix of worm tea/leachate and can be used for the root system. To get pure worm tea you have to disolve the casting.
Plants thrive on this and it increases growth and yield.
It is very simple to manage and as long as they have food everything runs smoothly.
Worms are prolific breeders when they have an abundance of edibles.
They tend to quadruple every 4 to 6 weeks and consume/process their body weight daily.
